WHAT WE OFFER

BOUTIQUE AUSTRALIAN NATIVE BEE HONEY
NATIVE BEE HIVE RESCUE & RELOCATION

Australian Native Bee Honey has a unique flavour profile which is enjoyed by many people the world over. It has been found to be low on the glycaemic index and is also high in antioxidant & antimicrobial properties!

We offer a native bee hive rescue & relocation service. Native bees are vital to our ecosystem, but sometimes they make their home in less desirable locations such as water meter boxes. We make sure they are relocated and well settled in to a more suitable environment.

OUR BEES

Our honey is sourced from only one particular species of stingless native bee called Tetragonula Hockingsi (TH) which is endemic to the Rockhampton region. Research has shown that the honey from this species contains a higher level of Trehalulose (rare sugar) when compared with other native bee species.

TREHALULOSE

Trehalulose is a unique sugar found in Australian native bee honey in significant quantities, found to be low on the glycaemic index and high in antioxidant & antimicrobial properties. Many medicinal properties continue to be discovered....

"Stingless bee honeys are used by native peoples around the world as medicine. Their faith in the medicinal properties of stingless bee honey is now supported by scientific research"

Entomologist & Author

Australian Native Bee Honey has a unique flavour profile which is enjoyed by many people the world over. Try it drizzled over ice-cream, or Camembert cheese and crackers for a flavour hit you will not forget! Each TH hive only produces up to approximately one kilogram of honey each year, making our honey a relatively scarce and highly valued commodity.
